Sounds like soundboard to me, =) The gals definitely need windscreens/pop filters. Good performance of Go Away. EDIT: YIKES, Come Clean really needs that mandolin to function. and ICBTFY doesn't translate very well acoustically IMO. Needs more testosterone. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

Yeah, I haven't gotten to hear them them. They were recorded straight from the PA thing. It was like one of those box ones. Not the board but yeah ... And there was a lot of mic trouble. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

little shows like that should just be 100% acoustic IMO. That way, you don't have to worry about sound problems or whatev... If the girls just project more, and use a small amp for the piano or something... it would be magical. Damien Rice sometimes does this at his concerts (last one I saw it was in a 2000+ theater), and even in the back people could still hear him. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! Well being a not so technical ear, I'm just glad to get recordings of these arrangements so clear! Actually, I think besides things that were obviously technical cliches (like in Many Funerals), it was pretty darn good! Good enough for me to be putting it on a CD as we speak. Thanks for the heads up, and who ever posted the mp3s on the blog! |

You know, I think these mp3's sound awesome (for the most part). Could they be better? Sure. But I'm old school. Back in the good ole days, we fans would record this stuff on cassette recorders. You should hear some of the terrible live recordings I have from late 89-92 before DAT recorders became the norm for shows. I'd take this recording any day over most of what I have in my collection of live material of other bands. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/keithabbott |

I'd take this recording any day over most of what I have in my collection of live material of other bands. Yeah, the recording is pretty good IMO (nice subtle reverb on the vocals as well). It's just performance issues that affected the overall quality. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

same guy who recorded Kevin Barnes' acoustic set there? Yup. That's the blog. I talked to him afterwards a bit. Seems cool, and he wanted to use my pictures, so that was awesome. ha. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |
