Invasion

The upbeat part of the bridge of this song is just a great groove moment that's rarely seen Eisley music. Great interaction between all the instruments, glad to hear Weston playing accents on the off beats, Razz

I could be there for you

Chauntelle's verse. She must have worked on that a lot. Perfect inflexion and delivery, a great musical moment.

Ten cent blues

when the organ rolls in during the first chorus, such a lovely sound.

A sight to behold

When Stacy sings "I won't let you ever walk out my door." and then it's looped immediately after. I get a huge "Everything in it's right place" vibe from this moment. And, I was a little disappointed that it didn't continue to loop, but I understand the mostly natural and organic take to these songs.

Combinations

When Stacy starts to sing the bridge as the rest of the instruments save the piano and synth fade out. Just another example of great vocal delivery from Stacy. So much emotion in her voice.

Like the actors

When the heavy guitar comes in after Stacy sings "shot in the chest" for the second time. She's almost yelling, and that Beatle-ish bridge that comes in afterwards with the driving chords is just delicious. Take out the cheesy music box synth and this would have been one of the best songs on the album. I think I just noticed some vibraphone on this track too!

many funerals. ever since i first heard it, i thought it was incredible, the recording doesn't disappoint.

go away. the piano and vocals are so good.

i could be there for you. when the vocals turn into the instrumentation and stacy comes in with the bridge. it's amazing.

a sight to behold. stacy sounds amazing on the entire bridge "we are forming a sight to behold.." and through the dissonance. i've always loved dissonance.

combinations. the chorus. is wonderful. and i love the trumpet.

overall, i love all the harmonies. and the three part harmonies on come clean and if you're wondering are great. impressive when a band can do that, and well.

Funny, that's one of my favorite things about the song.

I forgot one: The Marxaphone!

I'm curious as to how they'll perform it live.

All that time, all that time, darling all that time
How we'll make it up, we'll make it up
Oh, all the days, all the days, darling, all the days
How we'll have to make them up, we'll make them up somehow
We'll make them up.

That's mine too, it sounds sooo good. It reminds me of Chauntelle saying "so pretty" too heh.
In A Sight To Behold when Stacy sings "I won't let you ever walk out my door" sounding all sexy and commanding.
In Ten Cent Blues I like the "She is cheesy, she is scrawny.. etc.. I'm teasing, she is pleasing."
In Come Clean "With the way you're talkin' to me. Oh, it's so soothing." Ooh baby, oh me oh my. And Sherri's lilting harmonies on the last round of "Let's give it a try. Let's keep it for truth."

Go Away - When the bridge ends and the bass note leading into the chorus sounds like a fart.

YES.

Whenever I listen to the title track, I look most forward to when Sherri sings "Combinations, all around me."

I agree with the "you've been making a joke" switch-up part.

And pretty much the whole "Ten Cent Blues".

The part in Ten Cent Blues where Sherri is like "There is no doubt, she's such a mouse with such an a-" Because of the little miniscule pause before she finishes to say "abstract" it sounds like she's going to say "ass." And the part of that same song where it's just Stacy and the drums. Dangit, that part is magical.

Chauntelle's parts are yummy.
The guitar in Ten Cent Blues and I Could Be There For You.
Stacy's part in Combinations, Invasion, Taking Control and, Go Away.
All of If You're Wondering.
The fact that Go Away makes me think of herpes. Smile

I love the "honey" part in Go Away too! It's my ringtone now. Well that whole last part and the ring ends with Stacy saying 'honey, leave me on my own.' it's too cool!

all the harmonies are my favorite
and when the music stops just letting sherri/stacy sing their bridge

but i really really like it when stacy sings
"mister-aahh (miste--er) i don't belieeeve iiiinn yoouuuuuu"
"mister-eraaahhh i don't bbelieeeve iiin youuUUu.."

and and when sherri sings
"when we get down, if we get down.."
(don't know why but she sounds so amazing)

and when stacy "can't" reach the suuuper low notes in ten cent blues:
"then she chose dissect me, and i was casted into poverty.."

yum

THis is great, 'cause I was going to make this thread myself at one point, but somehow forgot to get around to it. My two favorite parts are as follows...

Chauntelle's part in ICBTFY. Both for her amazing voice, but also for the magnificent lyrics.

1:55 into Combinations. There is this mixing blending thingy that is incredibly cool.

And to a lesser extent, all the "Now I"s in Combinations.
