"A little respect goes a long way." going with what you said. i scrutinized with nora on what i felt was a violation of the rules. i did not resort to name calling unlike her, which is also a violation of the rues. crazemunkey said even if she does do these things, since when has it been your job to keep her in check or correct her or whatever... whatever, man. whatever. again doing what she did in telling of violation of laughing city rules. - 7 - If moderators observe behaviours described in Rules 5 and 6, they will warn the user as well as the thread in question. If a thread receives 3 warnings, it will be closed. I don't know why you are attacking me in this thread. I wasn't trying to be mean or rude in any way. Which you seem to think I TRY to be mean or rude to people. I was however being helpful to the poster. More than once in this thread even. |

Perhaps the SLUT thread was overstepping it, but it was always based on a mainstream news story that was repeatedly aired, even during family hours. My apologies if that offended anyone. On the Nora thing: You'll take notice that a majority of Nora's replies of late have been very helpful and not even remotely rude. If she's rude, I make sure it's taken care of. Trust me. And I wholeheartedly agree with Pantheon. This could have been taken care of on a PM to myself and/or Nora. Is it Dupree or DuPree? I've seen it both ways, often when Boyd is too rushed to type it properly. In all articles and interviews, it's DuPree. Cajun names have that funky French capitalization.

going with what you said. i scrutinized with nora on what i felt was a violation of the rules. i did not resort to name calling unlike her, which is also a violation of the rues. In her original post, Nora called the thread creator "dude". Not the flamingest of attacks, there. She called you a jerk, but that was after you targeted her and called her snooty, so seems like fair play to me.

Hypocrisy, thy name is... you! Seriously, did you really type that with a straight face? A) Nora didn't break any rules, and B) it's not your job to call her out on it if she did. If her posts really bother you that much, I think it would accomplish more and cause less strife for you to PM Jamie directly--he's really good about responding to concerns and resolving the issue whenever possible. If nothing else, he would be able to explain why Nora hasn't received any kind of public "discipline" for what could be considered inflammatory posts. And as he pointed out above, she really has mellowed out lately.

Want to call her out on something nasty she said? Do it in a thread where she actually said something nasty.
