When I heard that I was really shocked...who couldn't love the wonderful eisley girls and guys? They aren't creepy, just different (i.e. GREAT!) And for her to go up to people (who are friends of eisley) and bad mouth sherri, wow...idk what the girl was thinking.

I wanna know what y'all think of this, sound off!

If anyone is confused:

Today, (Monday) a group of 3 NFG fans (girls) approached IAN, the bass player inquiring about Eisley: "hey... I was just curious - is that band "Eisley" going to be on stage tonight with ya'll because... if they are, i want a refund... I didn't drive all the way from Louisiana to hear them... that band is freaking creepy. " She said much more but i won't elaborate. The most salient comment was when she referred to Sherri as an "inbred". Ian promptly said, "F-Off... you're RUDE".

But that wasn't enough. She couldn't leave it alone. Later, in the mall, she recognized Michael Bethencourt and approached him; asked the same question... and reinforced how creepy Eisley was and how she hated their voices and harmonies and just creeped her out... Michael said, "I dunno if Sherri is singing or not but you should really be nice... you're talking about my good friends here".

She left, came back... tried to say she didn't mean to dis' his friends, but just hated the band... etc... she kept digging in deeper; "I just can't stand that creepy band". Michael was like... "look, I don't care what you think about the band, but you need to back off... they're really nice people. She finally admitted to him: " well, once I talked to Chauntelle... and she was actually really nice"... to which Michael replied... "oh, wait... but you said they were all so creepy...". She kept reiterating the same point over and over again. He finally just said, "look... I just don't care what you think".

Later, the news of this spread to Chad and NFG, Eisley, Mute Math and beyond. The Academy Is was still around... and all of NFG's openers. Everyone was laughing in amazement. She called them "INBREDS?!! O my gosh! So, Chad was like - "If I see her tonight, I'm going to kick her out of our show..."

He didn't, of course, but in the middle of NFG's show - guess who popped out on stage to sing with Jordan on, "It Ain't Me"? You got it - that creepy Eisley girl. It was no surprise to me that Chad introduced his wife by saying, "Before the show, one of our fans said she wanted her money back if the creepy eisley girl was going to sing... and called her an "inbred". So... if you're out there, you can go get your money back and leave....". (massive clapter outbreak preceded)

So.... fast forward. After the show, i was hanging out talking to people - actually an Eisley fan and her dad - when Sherri walked up. We were talking about nothing much when Sherri's eye caught the mean girl (herself) with her sister and friend started walking toward us. Sherri honestly wanted to scamper creepily off, but it was too late. The pack of NFG femme's made a b-line right to her. AhhHHAAHH!!

The girl who had said the super rude things was coming to confront. Intense. I backed off... but heard her words: "I just wanted you to know that I apologize... i didn't mean those things... i mean, i was just joking.... I say things sometimes and later think... why did I say that..." .

Gracious Sherri consoled her - repeating, "it's ok... it's ok... I told Chad not to say anything from stage... we all just thought it was funny." The kept trying to apologize...saying, "i just feel so bad... I didn't really mean it... i mean, i just... i don't know what i was thinking..." Sherri kept saying "it's ok... it's ok..." The girl was shaking and in tears.

Then Chad walked up and she said her whole speech over again...." I didn't mean it.... I just say dumb things sometimes... I apologize..." etc. Chad said (smiling), "hey... it's ok, but... honestly, it's not like you can just say I didn't mean it. I mean, you have to realize when you say things... you're talking about a real person. I'm a real person with real feelings... and you're talking about my wife - who's a real person... with feelings. You can't just go around saying whatever you want - then later come back and say, "oh, i didn't mean it... It's ok and all... ". But the girl just kept saying the same things over and over again... "I apologize"...wiping away tears. Chad and Sherri were both saying, it's ok...it's ok... we forgive you..." (hugs).

Then she walked up to where I was and said, "i should be apologizing to you... their dad... I'm sorry...., etc.". I shrugged and said, "it's ok... it's ok... ". Then later... "hey, at least it gave like 4 bands something to talk and laugh about all day..." etc.

Anyway, then she wanted a final pic of "the two love birds who forgave her". By this time, the sister was talking to... either Michael or someone else - can't remember. I heard her saying stuff like: " I mean, i don't like the band either... I am not a fan at all.... I don't like those harmonies and all but I told my sister she was going to get in trouble with her whole mouthing off thing..." I said, "there are plenty of bands that don't like, but guess what - I never end up approaching them to make sure they know..."

After the hugs, we darted off back to our bus and that was the end of the silliness. So, there. I told you a bed time story. It's the little things on tours that make the difference between the days.

The girl apologized...it's a funny story...but I think we shouldn't be too mean. Sherri was gracious (gracious- letting people do things that they're not supposed to do, like mess upLimbeck reference, ftw!) and I think we should be too. but I know not everyone is going to agree with me. Laughing

People just make silly assumptions without knowing anyone, and that girl had a lot of nerve to say those things, but hopefully she learned to keep her trap shut!

It's makes it creepier that she could identify Boyd and Chauntelle.

There are people out there who don't like Eisley.

There are people out there who will be vocal about the fact that they don't like Eisley.

We should all strive to be as good-natured and forgiving as Sherri was in this situation.

Yeah, people are going to be like that. It's probably a good sign, actually. It means that maybe there's enough of a positive image for Eisley that peopl feel driven to point out how much they hate them. ha ha.

It's sad that people get so worked up and go so out of their way to do things like that. Taking Sherri's route definitely is the best way to handle it.

I know. That's why I'm thinking the girl has a thing for the hubbie. I don't know as far as Adam's fans go, 'cause I haven't liked his band in years, but back in the day with band we shall not mention, there were a friggin gaggle of girls who would say and do this kind of stuff. Know all about the band, and devote their time and energy into doing hateful things like this. Crazy.

But good for Sherri. The Duprees' in general always seem to handle things with an extreme amount of grace and class.

Yeah, think about it.

If Sherri would have acted out and blown up at that gal that would have been just what the girl wanted, you know? So when she would have gone to tell the stories to her friends, Sherri would have looked like the bad guy. Same goes for us. If people say how much they hate Eisley and this and that, well if we just say, you know whatever, and shrug our shoulders then.. wait.. I really don't know where I am going with this. Confused

It's too late. Shocked
Hopefully any of that made sense.

She admits she met Chauntelle once, whom was really nice. It is obvious the girl is jealous about something. Perhaps she doesn't like the music. But it's probably a NFG fan with a crush, being rude. One possibility. I wouldn't want to speculate on other possibilities. But glad their was some reconciliation in the end.
