The tickets for Eisley at the Avalon in Salt Lake City are already on sale via Smithstix. I have a feeling they might go up elsewhere as well eventually, but I went ahead and bought one already anyway. I just hate their fees. It's almost as bad as Ticketmaster (aka ticketmonster) LOL Anyway, just thought I'd let people know that there are tickets available for that show now. --Melanie |

Man, I would be willing to come up to the Salt Lake City show if I got to hang out with some polygamists. </stereotyping> _________________ "I shall take the heart," returned the Tin Woodsman; "for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world." |

</stereotyping> You're gonna have to go to southern Utah / northern Arizona for that. Or even Texas where quite a few of them live in a compound. And I agree, that fell flat for a joke. It's rather offensive and a touchy subject around here because there's a lot of misconceptions involved with that. Most of which aren't true. AT ALL. |

I wish I was still in Utah for the show!! Alas, I will be flying back home to Hawaii before then. No Eisley for me. ...and my goodness. I had no idea people could be so dumb with the Utah jokes (or sorry--stereotypes presented in an obviously joking/derisive manner). I mean it is just strange to me that people feel so compelled to throw something in ... _________________ -Brooke |

I hardly think you offended anyone. I just think it is a rather immature to take a topic that is in no way related to you, and attempt to veer it completely off track with lame, overused, worn-out attempts to be clever or to provoke some sort of reaction. What did you feel like you were contributing? anyway...I am curious. because I've only been here a few months, and didn't go to too many shows in Hawaii (not too many to see), what is the cheapest way to get tickets if not through those online places? _________________ -Brooke |

Go directly to the venue. P.S. It's the internet. Stop taking it so seriously. If you took everything everyone said on here personally, you'd develop a complex and kill yourself or something. _________________ "I shall take the heart," returned the Tin Woodsman; "for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world." |

From what I've heard/read, though, it's very family friendly and really willing to support local talent as well as big names. It seems like a neat place. _________________ for a minute there, i lost myself. |

I've been to the Avalon lots of times. The venue is an old theater. There are no barricades, but the stage is extremely high up. There is an area in front of the stage where people can stand, and then benches all the way up to the back. The floor does slant up some which is probably good for visibility, but I've only been at the front and at the back by the merch tables. You can see well in either location. The merch tables are at the back and to the side. I'm not always happy with the lighting. I've seen them light up the guitarist on the far side and keep the lead singer in the dark at times. It's a nice little venue, though. I actually liked the old stage better because it wasn't as high up, but they had to tear it down and rebuild it for the city. I kinda like that they are pretty camera-friendly, though. As long as the band has no problem, they don't. The guy that runs the place is pretty nice, also. K-Tix has tickets up now as well as smithstix.com. I think the k-tix vendor fees are a little less. The downside for me is that they won't take a credit card with a P.O. Box address. I had to change mine to get tickets from them once, and it's messed me up. Anyway, here's the link: http://ktix.ticketforce.com/default.asp?SearchMonth=5%2F28%2F2008&mont hsubmit=x&MV=5%2F28%2F2008 |
