Well, when they sang the last "goodbye", she spun away from the mic real fast all dramatic like. _________________ |

Every effort has been generated by the band to get this tour going. They've worked their butts off, and I keep telling you, the show is at a new level. You guys need to spread the word and get people to these shows. You won't regret it. Some of the clubs on this tour are bigger than others. all around 500-1500 I believe. I noticed the low turn out at the Nashville show. When I walked in during Vedera there was only about 100 people there! a few more showed up by time Eisley went on, but I don't think there were more than 200ish. 200 in a 1400-room would not be a promoter's idea of a good turn out - but Nashville crowds are fickle and that happens a lot around here. Surprised that Atlanta only pulled 300 for an 800 room, on a Saturday night at that. I think there are a lot of reasons for this, one being that originally the band had no Spring touring plans, but when things changed, the dates were finalized only a little over a month out, not much time to get the buzz going. Turn out doesn't affect the band's performance though, Nashville was spot-on. Definitely go see this tour. |

There have been glitches like that from the get go of this tour, but it hasn't swayed the band's enthusiasm. |

I just got my schedule rearranged so I can go to the Des Moines show as well. _________________ Trying to find my way around a dark life, always breaking the important things... |

The turnout may have been small, but the show was outstanding, beginning to end. It was awesome to see the band just chilling among the crowd before the show (I considered talking to them, but it didn't look like anybody else was and I didn't want to be the only one hassling them). The Envy Corps was the best opening band, I felt. Their song about Sylvia Plath was outstanding, I wish I would've had the money to get a shirt and a CD, but I'll be fine with just the CD. Vedera and The Myriad were really good, too, though if I had to pick an "odd man out" of the four bands, it would have to be The Myriad. They were good, they just didn't seem to fit with the rest of the bands. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, can't complain about variety. Eisley rocked it big-time. While the acoustic show was pretty good, it was not a good indicator of Eisley's ability as a great rock band. Despite Sherri's warning that they may sound like men due to sore throats (and how on Earth was she able to down that mixture she had going? Yuck!), the band sounded spot-on, and they played the one song I was really hoping they'd play ("If You're Wondering"). The only disappointment was no Christie singing. Maybe she caught whatever was ailing Sherri? I saw her out in the crowd a few times. Either way, it doesn't matter, the show was outstanding as it was. Chauntelle always looks like she's having such a great time (ditto for her cameo with The Envy Corps), she should definitely do some more lead vocals. I say that with all due respect to Stacy and Sherri, of course, who were both perfect. Unfortunately, from my angle, I couldn't really see Weston or Garron at all. They sounded fine, though. Boyd was standing beside me and my friend Jenni for most of the show, and I tried to think of something cool to say to him, but never could come up with anything. Oh, well, he seemed busy, anyhow. Great show overall. I drove about two and a half hours to Atlanta, and I felt it was totally worth it. Obviously, I'd like to see as many people at their shows as possible for their sake, but honestly, I felt the crowd was just right: not cramped, no pushy jerks, just a very cool crowd gathered for a very cool band. Come back soon! |

Just walk up and say hi; it's ok, i think. _________________ "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed." prov 16:3 |

This is probably true, but if I tried to talk to them, it would probably sound like The Chris Farley Show: "Hey, y'know that song 'If You're Wondering'? That was awesome. Y'know that song 'Invasion?' That was awesome." |
