Yes Eisley is not your average style of music. Yes Eisley is an outrageously amazing band. Yes Eisley will go far in the music world. Just because they're so different doesn't mean they won't find an audience. That's what makes a band or artist "larger than life" to catapult them into superstardom. Being something the world has never seen. Eisley makes music that people respond to and want to listen to over and over again. The magic is there and WILL carry them through to success however you define success. I see Grammys for Eisley in the future. I honestly feel their music is fit to be called "the best of the best". But yeah its so true that the Grammys are becominginfiltrated by crap music. I think music in general is becoming more and more diluted to the point that everyone's lowering their standards for what good music is. They've lost its meaning!! Its sad. _________________ Its all in the making. Its all yet to be. Its all leading up to your true destiny. |

Boyd- Im glad we got to have a music chat in Tempe, hopefully we'll get to have another one in Tempe one of these days;). Quote: I don't think
Coldplay set out originally to win Grammy's. They just wanted to write music, be in a band, make great records, tour. Thats why im so stinkin happy they won, one of the few well deserved successes. _________________ I can't find an icon |

The Grammys did not start to stink, they have stunk from the beginning. They are never on top of good music. I agree that the new Outkast record is great, but if i didn't have the press and single that it did, it would not even be on the list. The Grammys has always been about who made the most money that year. Honestly, Coldplay is a band i really like, but they by no means should have beat out some of the music that is going around today. To think of all the bands that don't even get a nod because they don't sell a bizillion records is amazing. The Grammys is just the fan choice awards for stuffy corporate music folks. _________________ "I will be gone, but not forever" |

Did anyone else find it kickass when Andre from Outkast took like 5 minutes to get to the stage then he goes "thank you" then just leaves _________________ http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=KevinNaaaaaa |

I also find it sad when the Grammys make an attempt at being respectable by "honouring" great musicians from the past. Remember the homage they gave the Clash last year (or was that the year before)? They basically were saying we will only respect good music once it has been dead and gone for a decade. But for now, more Avril. _________________ "I will be gone, but not forever" |

Dude and what's up with Avril getting nominated the last 2 years in a row but losing? I think she deserved the Grammy last year for Best New Artist. But Norah Jones did too. By the way, Norah's new album Feels Like Home is available 2/10/04 !!!!!!! It shall be mine after work tomorrow. Its really good. I heard the whole album on VH1.com the other day. She's awesome. But yeah, Avril had an awesome album too. She's young, talented, and co-writes really good songs. I can't wait til her new album is released. Anyone heard of a date yet for it? _________________ Its all in the making. Its all yet to be. Its all leading up to your true destiny. |

change the subject - Someone should start a new academy for the real bands...the good ones... and in 5 years, it'll make it to television, and in 10 years, it'll make it to the National network and in 15 years...it'll be: (fill in the blank) Of course, bands like Radiohead will come out on top every year. All of the great indie bands will be championed... the host will be Conan... (you make up the rest:) and eisley will be in a panel of judges along with eisley forum members. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Sounds like a plan to me. I would like to see a bunch of bands i like (Eisley, Appleseed Cast, The Anticon Crew) and have them all play a song together. Thats what award shows is all about...it would just be nice to see musicians I am interested in rock out on stage. And Conan would be a rockin host! _________________ "I will be gone, but not forever" |

No, after 20 years it will be taken over and it will be just like the grammys _________________ http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=KevinNaaaaaa |
