Actually, Yahoo! Music videos has the Marvelous Things and Golly Sandra videos. This site, as you probably know, has Just Like we Do, Golly Sandra, Telescope Eyes, Marvelous Things, I was Prepared, and Treetops.


They mean from Combinations. Invasion is the only song from Combinations that has a video. Wink

the more we here from inside the band, the more its seems that WB are royally f@ckin over the band. Ok are large advance is/has been paid to the band for recording both albums, but it seems from this view point a long way away, that WB aren't pushing Eisley as hard as they could, why? All the feedback that Boyd provides when WB bods have seen/heard/spoke with the band regarding their music, seems to be good, usually. So if the WB bods think the music is so good why the hell are they not marketting the band? Is it just WB or is it a collective? Who decides which tours Eisley go on? Who they support? Where the albums are released? Are the people with the contacts to get Eisley support slots in WB are they with the team around Eisley? Just seems like a big waste of cash to through money aat a product that you aren't going to market/promote/ or at the very least put in a situation that might sell the product.

Hello and welcome Juan to the music Industry as it has been for years.
Now that its tanking, maybe the way bands have been dealt with will finally change for the better!.......but i doubt it to some degree.....

Now that its tanking, maybe the way bands have been dealt with will finally change for the better!.......but i doubt it to some degree.....


-You wonder how long labels as we know them today are going to be around at all- they're all a bit parasitic;, but especially the majors. Technology enabled market efficiency has a habit of making life rough for parasites. The sooner good artists manage to find a way to prosper while unhitching themselves from those sinking ships the better for them.

I still think life for Eisley would have been better (or still would be) if they managed to get onto something like one of the Beggar's imprints though, like 4AD or Matador (either of which would have been a perfect fit musically), that understands music and musicians a little better, rather than just being a mass-production lowest common denominator commodity marketing conglomerate.

Well, I assume those guys are doing whatever they see as best for the band given the constraints and opportunities as they are. I'm just musing idlely here. I certainly hope they are way beyond needing or seeking tips from some schmoe on a fan website.

It's funny how the big labels think that internet piracy will be their undisputed downfall, but in the end, it's their own outdated business models. They don't have talent like The Beatles, Elvis, or Frank Sinatra anymore. All they seem to do anymore is decide on a sound they THINK the public wants to hear, and take a puppet and manufacture that sound. Untalented artists with generic songwriters can only have so many catchy radio hits until listeners tune out. Now that the talented musicians can finally get exposure without a major label (digital revolution), the major labels only really have themselves to blame for brushing them off.

Well, if you periodically had to explain to your shareholders why you are failing miserably and couldn't come up with any convincing answers about how to fix it, you'd thrash around trying to find something to blame other than your own incompetence and lack of vision too.
