Hi. I've been lurking on the message board for a week or so. My name's John. I'm 32, am originally from Longview, TX, and have been listening to independent music for almost 20 years. I read about Eisley online a little over a year ago but never heard any releases or MP3s... was just suprised and interested that an "non-country" band came from Tyler. I had no idea how long Eisley had been playing shows. I certainly didn't expect their music to wow we as much as it did when I saw the "Marvelous Things" video play on Subterranean. I watched the video over and over again until I bought the EP a few days later. The EP is just incredible. Great work. Now if I can just find "Laughing City"... need to head to Waterloo. To the Dupree family: Eisley is so special.. No one can say for sure whether or not they'll attain a lot more fame than they have so far, but I have very high expectations for the album and I suspect it will chart well. (I'm a former college dj.. does that boost my indie cred? Ha.) I wish you all the best. You're living the dream that few musicians get a chance to fulfill. John |
