The new ones are freaking amazing, especially Smarter. Wawawoowee! _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me. Nothing touches a work of art so little as words of criticism." -- Rainer Maria Rilke |

Thoughts from the 2 YT vids: Stacy's blue dress is beautiful, Chauntelle sounded better than any other time I've heard her part on ICBTFY, wished I could see what guitars she was playing, the new song slices make me want to hear more, and Sherri & Stacy perform magic when singing together. It's so easy to over-analyze stuff, keep in mind these are 3 songs from a stack of 40 they have written and they might not even end up on the next album after all is said and done. I'm sure there will be some fast ones, some slow ones, some hard ones, and some soft ones. Looks like it was a great event (minus sporadic crowd involvement.) _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

'cause i may just upload them to my blog so you can d/l them?? opinions? Oh yes, please do. I had gone in with intention of recording the whole thing myself, but it seems that the recording stopped during the third song, so I just decided not to bother with it. Knowing that others would be recording it, it's not really that big of a loss for me. Besides that, not recording let me take a ton of pictures. I did get recordings of Be Kind and Smarter though. muffinbreath wrote: The_Paronomasial_Mattoid wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUePhedMnlQ
2:12/2:13 is when "Smarter" starts. I REALLY like it. omg i really like it too. and max did really good on guitar actually. the song is SO angry. :] Haha, it is pretty awesome though. It doesn't sound like your typical Eisley song at all, and I assume that may be due to Max's influence, but I loved it. grain thrower wrote: It's so easy to over-analyze stuff, keep in mind these are 3 songs from a stack of 40 they have written and they might not even end up on the next album after all is said and done. I'm sure there will be some fast ones, some slow ones, some hard ones, and some soft ones. That's true, though I'd hate to not be able to hear all the songs they've been working on. They don't have to be on the album, just make sure they get a good release. It would just feel like a waste otherwise. Speaking of live songs that need to see some better quality releases, I'd love it if they made studio versions of Lady of the Woods, Silver Bugs and Vintage People. grain thrower wrote: Looks like it was a great event (minus sporadic crowd involvement.) Well, there was one rowdy guy behind me, not sure if he was drunk or what, though I don't think his is the type of "involvement" we want. Though, I will admit, him screaming "I WASN'T PREPARED!" when the band was having some tech trouble did make me chuckle. pollyanna87 wrote: Did Stacy do the ICBTFY intro? Sadly she didn't. |

Like no offense to them, but 'Many Funerals" to me sounds like they wanted to rock out and didn't know how, and "Smarter" sounds like they finally got the hang of it! Dangit, someone beat me to uploading. people are so speedy! I think I'm going to put them up for download on my blog. I've got full recordings of: Many Funerals Be Kind Like the Actors Just Like We Do Mr Pine Ten Cent Blues Smarter Come Clean Golly Sandra Tree Tops Go Away parts of: ICBT4U A Sight to Behold Memories Marvelous Things I Wasn't Prepared Invasion off to james morrison soon! Awesome! I forgot to charge my camera battery and it ran out before we even got there, but we saw so many cameras around that I figured someone must've recorded the new songs. Thank you so much! |

Yeah there were some ROWDY kids next to me, everyone was weirded out and back off a good 5 feet until this group was sort of cut off from the rest of the crowd. That, the technical problems, and everyone being tired I think all contributed to the overall awkwardness of the show. There were some definite beautiful moments though. And that was well worth the trip for me. |

Looks like it should be pretty good, especially since you seem to have been at the exact opposite side of me.
