Chauntelle posted this yesterday on Twitter, dunno if y'all non-tweers had a chace to read it. Some exciting details about LP3!!

Quote:
It all started when the Dupree sisters started writing songs in their bedrooms way back in 1998. From there, Eisley has taken many steps to become quite a successful band.
“We started writing songs in our bedrooms together and sometimes we'd play them for friends or family in early 1998,” she said. “Then we played our first show at our church’s coffee house/venue, called Brewtones Coffee Galaxy, that our family sort of ran. After that show, people came up to us and would say things like, ‘Hey, you kids have a strange but great sound, what's the name of your band?’ We then realized that if people wanted us to be a band, we should probably figure out a name and start practicing.”
Well, that practice paid off. The band, composed of Sherri Dupree-Bemis, Chauntelle Dupree, Stacy Dupree, Weston Dupree and Garron Dupree, is currently in the process of mixing and releasing their third full length album, which does not currently have a name.
I was fortunate enough to interview the band’s lead guitar player Chauntelle Dupree. She revealed many things about the band’s future plans as well as some personal details.
Because they started writing so young, most of their earlier stuff was fantasy-like. But now, she said, they’ve had some life experiences that have greatly affected their music, whereas before, they were very young.
“We're still very inspired by the same things, but we've gone through some sad times ourselves - heart-ache, divorce, broken off engagement, being cheated on, - as well as good times, like getting remarried and finally finding the person that's right for you! Therefore the writing has become a lot more personal. There are still moments where it's just as exciting as the day we wrote our first song in our bedrooms,” she said.
Dupree said the new album will (hopefully) be released in January 2011, due to legal troubles with their ex-record label. But don’t fret, fans, because Eisley will embark on a US fall tour this year. The dates have yet to be announced, but Dupree assured me they’ll be announced soon! (And I’ll keep you updated!)
On this record, Dupree took on a bigger vocal role on one of the tracks, which for her, was a big step.
“It was a big challenge, vocally, mentally and emotionally. My sweet husband Todd, as well as all of my family, completely encouraged me and pushed me forward. I probably would've given up. I am nervous about singing it live, because it's so much easier in a studio with your voice loud in the head-phones, but I'm also very excited,” she said.
Dupree said fans should expect more vocal involvement from her in the future.
She also provided a message to Eisley fans:
“I'd like to say that you're the reason we keep going! Honestly, as long you keep coming to shows and wanting to hear our music, we won't stop! Also, if you come to a show, please come up and talk to us! Sometimes we're shy, but we'd love meet you! Thank you for all your love and support! We love you! Also, we're all on Facebook and twitter so look us up,” she said.
Below, you can read the rest of the interview. I kind of have it divided into general questions about the band and the upcoming album, and then a section more specific to Chauntelle. Enjoy!

How do you think Eisley has grown over the years?
When we first started writing songs, we were very inspired by sad things in the world as well as fairy-tales. Our songs were sort of depressing in a way and yet somehow mixed with a sort of magical-happiness. I think, even though we didn't have a lot of money, we had so much love, happiness and freedom to be creative (thanks to our wonderful parents) that it was really sad to hear of people that didn't have it the same. We'd imagine all these different tragedies or situations of people's lives and make them into some strange fantasy.

How will this upcoming album compare to the past albums?
It's a lot more personal, as I mentioned before, because this album was born right in the middle of some really dark times for us as a family, as well as some really beautiful and happy times. It's more exact.

Where do you see Eisley in 5 years?
Playing bigger shows, selling more records, and actually making a living off of it (hopefully) haha!

---------------------------------------------------------------------- --
When you started playing guitar, who did you look up to? How old were you?
I was most inspired by Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead and still am.
I was 14 when our parents bought us an electric guitar and an amp for Christmas. It was everyone's guitar, but I took to playing it right away. It was a Lotus guitar, and a 30 watt Crate amp. My Uncle Wade modified the Lotus for me somewhere along the way, and put a hum-bucker Dimarzio Super Distortion pickup in the bridge for me, and after that...it was my main guitar for live shows as well as a lot of recordings up until I met my husband Todd, two years ago. He's a Luthier, so he builds me all these amazing, custom, electric guitars and they're so gorgeous and sound better than any guitar I've ever played! I fully recommend checking them out! http://www.larose-guitars.com/

Do you think you’ll do more vocals for the band as time goes on?
Definitely! As I get older, I'm learning to push past insecurities, because they're simply road blocks that stop me from figuring out what exactly I'm capable of doing. I'm looking forward to taking more opportunities!

What track is your favorite from the upcoming album?
That's a difficult one to answer because I love each one so much and for so many different reasons! If I can only pick one, I'll have to go with one called, 'Sad', because I wrote a guitar solo in the bridge section that I'm really happy with and it's really fun to play it live! But, truly it's hard to just pick that one song!!!

For you, what’s the best part of being a musician?
The best part is finding out that you've touched someone's life or inspired them in some way, by far! It's like a blessing that comes back to you!

Well, that's the firmest release date we've had so far for the new album! Smile Add to it the fact that Chauntelle is singing on it, just makes my millenium!!
