Congratulations
Sea Post King

I finally jumped in, and I've streamed the album four times here sitting in the dark. I like The Valley, Watch it Die, Kind, Mr. Moon, and Ambulance the most, so far. I really, really, like Mr. Moon.

I can't help but think back to the buildup before Combinations, finally hearing that whole album (also on a stream), and how much has happened since then. It's wild how time flies.

i do wonder how combinations would've turned out now if eisley had gotten to make it on their own terms

I wonder what they would've done different on Room Noises as well... If I recall correctly, they had to deal with a lot more shiiiiii making that one.

ALSO, does anyone know the chords for "I Wish"? I'm in love with that song and smile like crazy when I listen to it. I must know how to play it! LOL.

Definitely better, but it's all water under the bridge. Who knows if The Valley would be as good if they had always gotten their way?

This just makes me sickeningly excited for their next album ... already. Laughing

Did The Valley change? It's been so long since I first heard it, so I don't quite remember, but I vaguely remember it seeming less choppy.

Smarter sounds better; Max's parts seem less pronounced. Also, Sherri's voice sounds a little more high-pitched in some parts...I kind of like it.

Love Watch it Die. Stacy, ugh. <3 u, girl.

Dig the guitar in Sad.

Oxygen Mask = <3 <3 <3. Begging to make an appearance in numerous romcoms.

Really digging Better Love.

Stacy's got some serious 'tude on I Wish. I AM BECOMING SUCH A STAN. Really digging it, as well. Top runner.

Kind is very pretty and very mature, despite the whimsy. Belongs in a Disney movie.

Mr. Moon's not my favorite.

Neither is Please, but I like it quite a bit better.

Ambulance is one of the songs I've had for awhile. Still great.

The person who gave them a 5/10 and compared them to Evanescence should commit hara-kiri at their earliest convenience. Laughing

I was kind of iffy about it as well. But now it's probably my favorite after really listening to the lyrics...and the drums are totes fab.

Holy cow! You are the only one I have seen say that Smile Mr. Moon is in my top 3 definitely.

I mean, I like the style of the song, and it's really heartfelt, but to me, it's this album's "If You're Wondering (though much better, imo, as I'm not a fan of that song)."

I'm not a big fan of "If You're Wondering" either.

What ARE the lyrics? I'm having trouble figuring out what's sung around those lines about "my sisters".

I think it's "Bones crack and fingers blister I might console you but look at my sisters. Brilliant like fireflies up in their bedrooms".

Seriously. I'm on my 3rd straight listen tonight, but I really need to get to bed. Can't stop in the middle, though. Smile

I can't choose any favorites yet. I seriously love them ALL. I absolutely love Room Noises and I was sure that would always be my favorite Eisley album, but I can already tell this has it beat. Holy crap, Eisley, holy crap. Rockin' out to Better Love right now. "Hallelujaaaaaaah!"

And I love Mr. Moon. Like, a lot.
