I've run into a problem describing what Eisley sounds like to other people, because I usually try to use an amalgram of two other bands for a comparison. For instance, Gravity Kills sounds like Nine Inch Nails meets Stabbing Westward. So, what two blending of bands would be similar to Eisley? |

just tell them that eisley rocks and you'll beat them up if they don't listen. thats what i do, and it generally works out. _________________ Facebook & Twitter & Blog(ish)-type thing |

Sixpence None the Richer meets Coldplay meets Radiohead meets Death Cab for Cutie. But not really any of those. There's no foolproof way to describe Eisley, I've found. It's best to just get people to listen to them and form their own comparisons... _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

just say that Eisley is the best band you have ever heard, and they will get the picture. or pop in an Ep in the car sometime, and its love at first hear. _________________ http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/Gameboybob/ http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=gameboybob http://www.myspace.com/thegameboy |

I sometimes compare them with the sundays or just say that radiohead is one of their fav bands. I try to get them to want ot hear what eisley sounds like then i give them telecope eyes ( thats what hooked me ). Of if i have my eps i pop in marvelous things or memories or laughing city. that usually does the trick _________________ "Religions have started on lesser revelations" - investor on MarketWatch.com |
