I think it kind of strange that the country/ western style is heavily influencing the rock scene. Ryan Adams and Wilco are country hybrids and they are paving the way for anew generation of rock. I bet every guy posting in this forum has at least one pearl snap shirt and/or is thinking about one right now.

judging country music by what you hear on the radio is like judging all of rock by nickleback.

hes not...blue grass and country is like comparing Eisley with some acid rock band (maybe thats not the best example)... anyways, country has all those annoying violins, the guys talking in a big thick voice as if they were "big hunks". In bluegrass you get more rythm (spelling?) and the guys voices crack more and they don't talk about thier tractor being sexy. like the "O' Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack...now that was good.

I do. I am about as ECLECTIC as they come. You'll notice where I currently live too. I never thought I would again dive into country cause I had my love affair with it back in middle school, but in moving to Nashville you can't help but get bitten...

I LOVE... Johnny Cash, The Jayhawks, Nickel Creek, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley (his NEW album), PINMONKEY, some Dolly Parton, Mindy Smith, a gal named Elizabeth Cook, THE VESSELS (UK alt/country Beatlesque band...INCREDIBLE), Old Crow Medicine Show,...and more...
It has to REALLY standout.... don't like alot of Popular Country

MIND YOU, my favorite genre is Brit-rock...see signature below...

I also LOVE anything from the GLENN MILLER BAND to Y'ssour something (African musician) to dance to Outkast.....

I'm a schizo music lover...
