this...is amazing this makes brightly wound even more of my top favorite eisley song it's a little confusing to hear them both through almost the whole song singing together, but it still sounds absolutely amazing. thanks for posting this ! _________________ Saellys wrote: You misunderstood. That version of "Brightly Wound" kicks the Room Noises' version's butt. Better lyrics, better singing, better arrangement. It's probably my favorite of Eisley's stolen songs. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Cool, I never heard that before. I like the organ at the end. _________________ we're really not alone, we have each other |

Agreed on all counts. I wish they hadn't needed to change the lyrics. Lyrics for those curious: Lyrics wrote: Its happening all the time when I open my eyes
(I am just wishing you were here so we could walk down to the brook) I'm still taken by surprise (And we would throw all our leaves in) I hold sunlight that soaked up the ink-filled sky (Seeing reflections when we look) And it makes me want to cry How I love you I shall never grow up, though in time our bodies wither Can we go far away to the humming meadow? They all looked heart-broken (I am just wishing you were here so we could walk down to the brook) That's another reason we pulled ourselves out of it (And we would throw all our leaves in) They wore expressions that told us of troublesome things (Seeing reflections when we look) And I'm not sure that it's quite time for panicking I shall never grow up, though in time our bodies wither Can we go far away to the humming meadow? If I were older, faster, somehow sensibly sure Would I be prone to not be immature? I shall never grow up, though in time our bodies wither Can we go far away to the humming meadow? I know that I've faltered As ghosts of past and present mingle Can we go far away to the humming meadow? _________________ |

I like both sets of lyrics, the newer ones are lighter and more fanciful I guess and these older lyrics seem more melancholy. _________________ we're really not alone, we have each other |

Yeah, I made a topic about this forever and a day ago. Jamie said it was written due to pressures to be less unicorn barbie. _________________ "I shall take the heart," returned the Tin Woodsman; "for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world." |

But you were mean and kept it all to yourself so it didn't get any attention. So this "old version" is actually a newer version they were forced to do with less romantic/fantasy lyrics but the older version made it to Room Noises? _________________ we're really not alone, we have each other |
