Eisley's 2nd Full Length in the Works

I've started journaling; we've started discussing the making of Eisley's 2nd LP.
Also, Eisley has a new video coming out - "Memories". I'll be talking about both
in my journal - "The Adventures of Trolleywood". Cheers.

BANNER CODE. ADJUST WIDTH IF IT'S TOO BIG. JPG PIXEL DIMENSION IS ACTUALLY 575. THANKS.

Eisley Slay's Dragons, Scales Castles,

I won't say it was an assault... but it was positive payback to sincere UK fans for being patient while awaiting Eisley's return since V-Fest in 2003. tsk tsk. That was too long a wait. But, mark my words: Eisley will return... with their 2nd full length record (more on that below), which will absolutely be released in the UK.

Here are scenes (my tour pics) from all manner of Eisley's experiences across the pond (Dragons not shown... pics were too gruesome as Eisley beheaded many) There are hundreds more like these, along with stories, on my journal on Eisley.com

There you have it. Thanks to Taking Back Sunday for an amazingly fun tour.

AND NOW: It's time to make that 2nd Full Length. I'll be covering the progress with those whacky "making of" clips through the coming months. Tune in to this page: http://www.eisley.com/journals/trolleywood/ for developments, new media, behind the scene scoop. Or not. i don't assume anyone has that kind of time or has no life. It's just an invite. Cheers and it's hard to keep up here on myspace. Thanks for the nice comments and messages. I can't keep up!! ahhhhh!!!! boyd dupree

EISLEY RETURNS TO THE UK!!
Here's a few screen craptures from our last visit... in the year 2002. Want to see more? Click:

Eisley opened the main stage for 12,000 at two separate venues near London... but that's been 3.5 years ago. Stacy was 14 years old. What a trippy trip. Does anyone even remember the band from across the pond? Yikes. Hope some of you guys will show up at the sold out Taking Back Sunday shows. errr... if they're not sold out. Tough situation. Hope for a return visit... if you guys are feelin' it, it'll happen. Spread the love.

Matt is Johnny's guitar tech (of that band Coldplay)... anyways, he found a guitar stand Chauntelle could use since we didn't have any. It seems funny now to see these pics. We'd been on tour w/ Coldplay in the US/Canada just a few months before... That's the "Yellow" guitar stand. A guitar stand for every song? ha ha. I think it was because that was the acoustic.

SCENES FROM EISLEY'S "FINAL NOISE" US/CANADA TOUR.

NOW the band will "woodshed it" to record their 2nd ALBUM. But not before returning to the UK.
But, here are scenes from their "FINAL NOISE" TOUR

Shot of Eisley in Canada.

PICS FOR U:

Homecrowd. Hometown. well... Dallas is like home. And...Dallas discovered Eisley.

Our friend Ryan (from Cali) shot from stage.

Tulsa fans, heretofore unknown, surprised us for Eisley's first time to market visit. huh?
@!%? Thanks ya'll.

Chicago has become one of the big 3 markets... with turnouts that rivaled Austin, TX.
The Windy city nearly froze our butts off... outside, that is. It was warm and friendly inside.

Austin gets so much music, but I disagree with the people that say they're a "snobby
music market". They seem austinly awesome to us.

Hi Denver. The Bluebird sign is pretty cool looking too. (see "Tales from Trolleywood")

The Library, previously "The Cattleman" or some such club use to host Nirvana when
they could only draw a few hundred. First time to headline Sac... we'll surely be back.
Sold out show.

Pic of band. duh.

I found an interesting lilttle window near one of the dressing rooms upstairs. I discovered
it when Eisely was here w/ NFG. What are those crazy people sitting in on the left?
Sold out show.

First show of the tour... Floridians got cheated of a tour when Snow Patrol's shows were
cancelled cuz' of that hurricane. Returning was very, very encouraging. Never avoid you
again Florida!

First time to Memphis. We left Dallas at 5am, played a show at the festival at 2:00pm,
arrived home in Tyler at 10:45pm... 900 miles and a gig all in a day's work. Beat
that touring bands. And in a van. But wait, in case you can beat it, I drove from
Hollywood to Tyler straight... 30 hrs with no sleep. If you beat that, I fold :-).

First time to Fullerton... SoCal State University. Biggest turnout of the semester. The
only signing on the tour happened cuz.. like, where was the band going to go? ha ha.
(hide in the van?) Nice crowd. Awkward cuz of the grassy null w/ no peeps.

Blustery day. Rain threatened. We played at noon and had to load in @ 3:00 in San Diego.

Houston, TX - where all of the Eisley's were borned... yep, all of em's. So, Houston is
like our first home. You guys are pretty crazy.

Justin of Brighten. Weston of Eisley. Philly of delphia.

Washington, DC. The 9:30 club is one of the best sounding clubs in the known universe.

First time to play the Varsity. I know we'll be back. Great venue, good vibe, great PA,
nice folk...great crowd. And those lights!

That Granada. wow. First time to play it after like 7 or more consecutive shows at the
Gypsy Ballroom. Nice. Muddy sound in some places... like the balcony and in back of the
house. Up front and in the center, it was very decent.

Cheers all you myspacers. The world is a happy place in Eisley's house. More info coming. Stay tuned.

"Final Noise"
Eisley's tour kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale. We land the day before the show so we'll have time to catch our lagging brains and hook up with our amazing crew who'll be there waiting for us... with our new digital board, Stacy's new Yamaha piano, 4 new T-shirt designs plus a hoodie, new buttons, and 3 new songs...much, much more!! etc... ehem... Yeah wel, sorry; we're so psyched.

Eisley's first video - "Marvelous Things"

2003 They look like little kids. oh wait. they were... sorta.
I know it's random, but i just thought it was cool. Very "virgin suicides" (film). This used to run on MTV's "Subterranean" but that's been a while back. So, for newer fans, thought i t would be nice. Thanks!

ACTUAL CODE FOR POSTER BANNER BELOW

BUT FIRST! Somebody requested "Just Like We Do"for their MySpace player. I can't give you the actual "Room Noises" track, but I grabbed you a pretty sweet live track (.mp3) of the tune I recorded on the Switchfoot tour... you can paste in your url and download it or just use the code - thus using our server to host it. thanks:

I don't want to bore you guys, but; a few words seemed in order. It's going to be a exciting year... I hope for everyone. Please, please... know that we're so thankful to you guys; for believing in the band and helping to forward music isn't quite so radio-ready or mainstream. Whether Eisley's former songs or future songs will ever be suitable for radio doesn't really matter to me. This year, Eisley will expand beyond North American boundaries, put out another full length and more than likely play more live shows than even last year. Here's to music that warms the soul and is hopefully worthy of conversation over a good cup of coffee. (raises mug on New Years day... clink) And THANK YOU ferociously for voting for Eisley in the UGO.com contest. (see below) I think there had to be 250,000 to 500,000 votes total... no clue, but I know Eisley fans never gave up the fight, even when they were behind. See my comments and small offering to you devoted ones featuring an old song that only a few of you have ever heard called: Lullaby. Here's an assorted bunch of QT and WMP clips for you:

Random clips... honest. I have hundreds and hundreds of tapes ... dating from back before the Coldplay tour - almost every show. So, one day, I'll sift through them and toss buttloads on line. Or not. That might prove to be senseless.

SEE EISLEY @ AUSTIN CITY LIMITS FESTIVAL - VIDEO. Click pic to go there.

This is just a poor quality panaramic view I put together from scanning the crowd with my video camera... too fast. It's blurry, but you get the idea... there were thousands there. It was hot as hell's blazes (106) and many of these stood for 2 hrs.waiting for Eisley to set up and get a line check.

For those who didn't get to go
to Austin because of Hurricane
Rita, this is especially for you:

It was a crazy night; 400 turned away at sold out show. :-( Please try to catch the band on the Switchfoot tour if you're interested... last chance for a long time.
