hey ali i think the connection problem has something to do with security. when the applet is first loaded you have to allow the signed applet to run since it makes a socket connection from your pc to the IRC server. Do you see the "allow this signed applet" screen when it loads? edit: if i close the confimation screen then reload the page ( bypassing th screen ) it just hangs trying to connect. _________________ "Religions have started on lesser revelations" - investor on MarketWatch.com |

Yeah it wouldn't accept the main 3 that I use. In a desperate plea I used the one on my brother's server (----------------@riddleconsulting.com) and it was pleased with that one. It wouldn't even take my webmaster@aboutworth.com e-mail. 'Tis rather picky. _________________ "Jesus Shaves!" - Jamie |

Then don't worry, if you're not experienced with IRC, it's fine... when the chatroom is finally up it will be accessible directly from the site, no signing up or anything necessary, pick a name and go. But this is just preliminary geeky stuff to get the chatroom set up. _________________ "The revolution starts today, not tomorrow." :: got g-Love? |
