Have you guys ever considered doing a Daytrotter session? I don't know why I've never brought it up before (or maybe I did back in '06 when I was writing for that site). Sean Moeller loves you guys, and Daytrotter has become a pretty big deal in the past couple years. You should hit them up next time you're passing through the midwest. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

you know, I thought that same thought not long ago... they'd be in good company. Some NPR love wouldn't hurt either. _________________ yup, that's my name. FOR YOUR RATING PLEASURE: 4 LIKE Buttons, 1 NEUTRAL, 1 VEXED, 5 DISLIKE buttons. LC > FB = personal fave = Eisley fans should dig it |

I love me some Daytrotter. It would be a nice archive to be a part of. _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me. Nothing touches a work of art so little as words of criticism." -- Rainer Maria Rilke |

It would be neat if they could do a Take Away Show for La Blogotheque. http://www.blogotheque.net/-Concerts-a-emporter- _________________ |

Also, WOXY.com would be a great too. They recently teamed up with BSS for them to play a free show here in Austin during ACL. It's another site that could possibly be a nice jumping off point for Eisley. _________________ "I cannot discuss your verses; for any attempt at criticism would be foreign to me. Although, I haven't watched any of those recently, mostly because I don't think anything could ever beat the brilliance of Michael Stipe banging his elbow against the wall of a silo on the prechorus of "Sing for the Submarine". _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Also would be lovely to see them on Current TV's new show Embedded! ..... or you know, all 3. _________________ |

YO LA TENGO! Happy ...and timely- solved the dilema about what to put on very nicely. Thanks yes- I know... simple things please simple minds... ----edit for anyone who might care (doubtful though it might be): part two starts with an absolutely exquisite acoustic Sugar Cube (which was a relief, as I briefly feared that they were launching into an ill advised Cherry Chapstick). The bit of Nothing to Hide at the end is pretty sweet too. |

I know very little by YLT but Sugarcube with the Mr. Show guys is one of the best videos ever made. _________________ http://www.twitter.com/drstrangeblog http://www.last.fm/user/getinline I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read. |

I know very little by YLT but Sugarcube with the Mr. Show guys is one of the best videos ever made. it was a funny one.. although I rather like the song enough to prefer it without the interruptions... But the funniest thing about it to me (and maybe to anyone who has seen YLT a few times) is that Ira Kaplan is far from a shoe gazer... and is quite prone himself to gratuitous guitar wanking and rock-star-esque stage dramatics, and Georgia is anything but flaccid on the drums, as can be seen in this clip of what I would pretty much consider to be a canonical live SUGARCUBE, in front of their home crowd in Hoboken. ....and to be sure, no-one ever accused a YLT show of sounding "just like the record" (which has gotta be one of the worst insults you could level at a live act worth its salt)! ...but we digress. |
